Were you aware that the first internal combustion engine ran on hydrogen from water as its only fuel source? BMW has had them! Hyundai will be making them. Japan endorses them. Many patents and inventions have been bought and this project permanently shelved and shielded from mankind. Some of the stubborn inventors who didn't sell-out simply disappear. It happens in the US, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and India. We are in a time crunch to implement alternative fuels and water has been with mankind since the beginning. War for oil simply is not the way to go. Talking or promising politics about a clean and inexpensive hydrogen future that never is allowed to arrive is only a scheme to continue burning oil and promoting wars for oil.
Arthur C. Clarke explained that there were four stages in the way scientists typically react to the development of anything of a revolutionary nature.
1.) "It's nonsense," 2.) "It is not important," 3.) "I always said it was a good idea," 4.) and "I thought of it first."
If all internal combustion engines were converted or manufactured to burn hydrogen and oxygen from water as their only fuel source for our cars, trucks, trains, etc., we would no longer need numerous oil refineries; SMOG would greatly diminish, and wars for oil could not engulf the world. The only problem would be that the large oil corporations would have to diversify. Our Ozone problem would have the opportunity to heal itself and mankind would enjoy a much healthier planet. God perhaps would smile down on the Earth instead of letting the powers to be destroy our planet. If we stopped enhancing SMOG, stopped damaging the ozone, and lessened our effects on global warming, then we could be helping our planet and our health as we drive our huge SUV's. Not a bad idea.
